Analog sticks cannot compare to a mouse unless with assists. It can be proved, and it's not elitism to state so. Keyboard and mouse will always be superior even in new games. Then there are games like Max Payne 3 (or pretty much any modern FPS/3PS) which require some precision when aiming but are slow and overall designed to be played with a controller (read "on a console") so in the end it's personal preference.

I played through the first two chapters switching back and forth and really couldn't tell, but I'll likely continue this until I get to a point where I decide one control method is more comfortable than the other. Add to the fact that, at least at the beginning of the game, the enemies tend to be farther away, so using cover seems to be more important than getting headshots right now.

The free aim and getting headshots is definitely easier with the mouse for me (although the soft lock feature definitely helps), but using cover feels clunkier, and overall Max feels a little more sluggish than in the previous games, making me wonder if I should be moving around less and using cover more.
